Our Challenge
KITAG planned a renovation and modernization of the Metropol Cinema. In order to redesign the complex cinema halls and adjoining rooms, BIM Facility AG was asked to produce 3D laser scans and a 3D model of the cinema's interior.
Special features noted include the double-floor space beneath the main cinema hall and the zones under the "convertible roof."
Solution Implemented
The goal was to minimize, through the 3D model, the planning risk in complex renovation projects. By creating the most accurate foundation possible, planning and transformation become considerably easier, saving time and costs throughout project development.
Approximately 200 scanning stations and drone shots were taken, then transformed in just three weeks into a BIM model including installations.
