How can I apply digital twins in my industry?

As you can see, these three concepts come together in digital twins, making them the cornerstone of Industry 4.0.

The two components of a digital twin are:

BIM Methodology

The BIM methodology helps us organize information within its databases and the project itself, using a standardized workflow. This is crucial for analyzing information and processing the vast amounts of data generated.

Technology serves us to capture, process, visualize, and generate simulations that will allow us to predict the behaviors of our assets.

There are two ways to create a digital twin. The first is by starting with the inception of a construction project, carrying out the executive project using the BIM methodology and the appropriate technology to leverage it.

The second option is to create a digital twin from something already constructed (in-build). It’s quite simple. We begin by scanning the factory, building, stadium, or any structure using drones for external scanning and state-of-the-art laser scanners for interior scanning, covering approximately 30,000 square meters in four days.

The resulting product is fantastic. Imagine your factory viewed in high-quality detail, both inside and out, like Google Street View, with the ability to label, measure, and share the file with anyone worldwide for collaborative project work.

The Next Steps! Adapting Companies to Digital Twins

Scanning and Modeling

Once we have the scanning data, we can model any critical system within your operations, such as compressed air, gas, liquids, cooling, structure, and any component you need to optimize. This can be accomplished within a period of 2 to 3 weeks.

Imagine being able to see your compressed air system in 3D within that Google Street View-like perspective, complete with all its path details, components, specifications, and part numbers. This is incredibly powerful and a fundamental tool for planning changes that will lead to significant savings in time and operational costs.
