UJED and Foundamentality join forces for Technological Innovation in Mexico
The Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango (UJED), through its Faculty of Engineering, Science and Architecture (FICA), located on the Gómez Palacio campus, has reached a milestone by inaugurating the Foundtech Innovation and Technology Center in collaboration with the prestigious Laguna-based company Foundamentality.

Digital Twin Center in Mexico
This innovative center is focused on collaborating with organizations that seek to transform their management models and take advantage of advanced technologies, especially the fascinating world of digital twins.
These digital twins are virtual representations of objects or systems that use simulation, machine learning and reasoning to support decision-making.
The visionaries behind Foundamentality, Manuel and Sergio Seáñez, have already established solid business alliances around the world, including Switzerland, Germany, Israel and South Africa. Thanks to this collaboration with UJED, the university’s students and academics gain a unique opportunity to connect with the working world.
Five students have already been hired by Foundamentality under the direction of Professor Sergio Franco, who acts as the liaison between the company and the Faculty.
Roberto Gómez Estrada, director of FICA, emphasized that this strategic alliance gives students and academics the valuable opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, such as building information modeling based on 3D models. This technology allows them to plan, design, build and manage buildings and infrastructure more efficiently.
The Faculty, committed to this cause, has provided a space within its facilities for the Technology Transfer Center, which benefits both academics and students.
